Habitat for Humanity North Central Iowa

The mission of Habitat for Humanity of North Central Iowa believes that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of North Central Iowa is a not for profit, ecumenical, Christian housing ministry.

Habitat provides safe and affordable housing at low to 0% interest loans. The following criteria are needed to qualify: Need, Ability to pay, and willingness to partner.

Habitat for Humanity NCI also helps to provide current homeowners an opportunity to improve their homes. The home repair program helps low-income homeowners address critical health & safety concerns, weatherization, needs, and focuses on overall neighborhood beautification efforts. Volunteer teams work with Habitat staff in order to improve the conditions of area homes, and complete various repairs at minimal costs to the homeowners who would be unable to do the repairs on their own.

Applicants for both these programs must live in our service area: Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hancock, Winnebago, and Wright Counties. 

Habitat for Humanity Restore are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The Habitat Restore is owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity North Central Iowa. The proceeds are used to build, strength, stability and self-reliance locally.
