We are looking for board members interested in overseeing our nonprofit based on a community-centric, inclusive model. We believe in the idea of “Nothing About Us Without Us”. While the board will be there to ensure all decisions made adhere to our values and the law, decisions will be made by anyone interested in participating.

The key responsibilities of North Iowa Mutual Aid board members are to:
Serve a one-year term (with the possibility of extending to three-year term)
Attend monthly board meetings
Estimated 6-8 hour commitment per month
Help set strategic goals
Ensure that programming has an impact and is aligned with the mission and vision of the organization
Provide financial oversight
Support fundraising activities
Ensure that ethical and legal standards are consistently met
