Did you know the train engine at East Park is maintained by volunteers? Friends of the 457 care for the locomotive engine, provide tours on Saturdays throughout the summer and maintain the park grounds.
You can learn about this amazing local treasure and prep it to be ready for the summer. Volunteers will clean out the engine cab, dusting and polishing the brass gauges. All supplies provided.
Meet at East Park and park in front of the train engine/Prairie Playground off of E State Street. Please wear something comfortable and appropriate for the weather.
Transportation can be arranged if needed, please request a ride to East Park in the notes section.
